Inaprubahan ni pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang panukalang tapusin ang School Year 2024-2025 sa April 15, para sa unti-unting pagbabalik ng lumang school calendar nang walang Saturday classes upang maabot ang required number of school days.
Sa inaprubahang panukala, mananatili sa July 29 ang pagsisimula ng susunod na School Year, na mas maaga sa orihinal na plano ng Department of Education (DepEd) na nakasaad sa Order No. 003, series of 2024.
