NAKAPAGTALA ang Department of Transportation (DOTr) ng pinakamalaking porsyentong pagtaas sa 2026 National Expenditure Program (NEP).
Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, ang Budget ng DOTr para sa susunod na taon ay mahigit doble sa alokasyon nito ngayong taon.
Batay sa 2026 NEP, inaasahang makatatanggap ang Transportation Department ng Budget na 196.62 billion pesos sa 2026.
Mas mataas ito ng halos 110 billion pesos kumpara sa mahigit 87 billion pesos na Budget Allocation ng DOTr ngayong 2025 sa General Appropriations Act.
Ang Increase ay bunsod ng Additional Funding para sa Foreign Assisted Projects ng ahensya, gaya ng North-South Commuter Railway System, Metro Manila Subway Project Phase I, New Cebu International Container Port Project, at New Dumaguete Airport Development Project.
