UMAKYAT na sa labing walo ang nagpositibo sa monkeypox (mpox) virus simula noong Agosto, kabilang ang lima na nakarekober na at nakalabas na mula sa isolation, ayon sa Department of Health.
Sinabi ni Health Secretary Ted Herbosa, na ang tatlong bagong kaso na pawang mga lalaki ay mula sa Calabarzon at Metro Manila.
Dahil dito, lumobo na sa dalawampu’t pito ang kabuuang kaso ng mpox sa bansa simula noong July 2022, kabilang ang labintatlo na nananatiling aktibo.
Sa press conference, inihayag ng kalihim na lahat ng labing walong kaso ay kanila ng na-pick up at wala pang nahahawang iba.
