TINIYAK ng Department of Health (DOH) sa publiko na handa ang ibang mga ospital at may kakayahang tumanggap ng mga pasyente, sa gitna nang lumulobong kaso ng leptospirosis.
Sinabi ni DOH Spokesperson at Assistant Secretary, Dr. Albert Domingo, na patuloy na ina-assess ng ahensya ang clinical, epidemiologic at logistic situation upang maging epektibo ang pagtugon sakaling tumaas pa ang leptospirosis cases.

Ginawa ni Domingo ang pahayag kasunod ng reports na nahaharap ang San Lazaro Hospital sa kakulangan ng manpower at mga gamot bunsod ng biglaang pagsirit ng kaso ng leptospirosis.
Ayon sa hospital staff, mayroon lamang silang apat na hemodialysis machines at tatlong nurses lamang ang kayang mag-operate nito.
