POSITIBO ang Eastern Visayas Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) na aaprubahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang rekomendasyon na isailalim ang buong rehiyon sa State of Calamity bunsod ng 3-Ton Load Limit na ipinatutupad sa San Juanico Bridge.
Sinabi ni RDRRMC Chairman Lord Byron Torrecarion na sa pamamagitan ng deklarasyon ay mabilis na matutugunan ng Regional Line Agencies at Local Government Units ang mga problemang idudulot ng limitadong access sa mahalagang tulay na nag-uugnay sa Leyte at Samar provinces.
