KORTE ang naghain ng Not Guilty Plea para kay Expelled Cong. Arnolfo “Arnie” Teves Jr. sa kasong Illegal Possession of Firearms and Explosives sa kanyang unang arraignment kasunod ng kanyang muling pagkakadakip at deportation mula sa Timor Leste noong nakaraang linggo.
Ito’y matapos i-invoke ng dating kongresista ang kanyang karapatang manahimik.

Nag-ugat ang kaso sa raid na isinagawa ng PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection group noong March 2023 sa bahay ni Teves sa barangay Malabugas, sa Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.
Sa ulat ng mga awtoridad, narekober sa property ni Teves ang high-powered firearms at explosives, na walang mga lisensya.
Naghain ang prosekusyon ng motion para i-consolidate ang dalawang kaso, dahil magkaparehong mga ebidensya at witnesses ang kanilang gagamitin.
