ITINURNOVER ng Police Regional Office (PRO) 8 ang dalawandaang units ng Push-To-Talk Over Cellular (POC) radios sa lahat ng Police Stations sa Eastern Visayas.
Ayon kay PRO-8 Director Brig. Gen. Jay Cumigad, layunin ng pag-turnover ng karagdagang communications equipment na palakasin ang pagre-relay ng impormasyon sa lahat ng Police Operating Units sa rehiyon.
Sinabi ni Cumigad na isa sa mga hadlang sa mabilis na pagtugon ng kanilang police officers ang kakulangan ng communications equipment.
Noong Abril ay namahagi rin ang PRO-8 ng kaparehong bilang ng communications equipment sa mga Police Station para tulungan ang mga nagmamando ng Check at Choke Points sa nagdaang Election Period.
