WALONG Chinese Nationals ang hinuli ng mga ahente ng National Bureau of Investigation-National Capital Region sa ilalim ng superbisyon ni NBI Director Jaime Santiago dahil sa online phishing operations sa Parañaque City.
Ang naturang kaso ay nag-ugat sa intelligence report na may grupo ng foreign nationals ang nagsasagawa ng investment fraud, crypto asset/currency scam, romance scam, at identity theft gamit ang social engineering scheme at digital communication schemes.
Ang NBI agents kasama ang impormante ay nagkasa ng surveillance sa lugar kung saan natukoy at nakumpirma ang mga ilegal na aktibidad.
Nitong January 14, 2025 nag-isyu ang Parañaque City Regional Trial Court ng Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) laban kay Hwang Xiaobin at iba pa.
