Sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na maari pa ring maging produktibo ang naapektuhang sundalo at magsibli sa militar sa kabila ng kanilang kondisyon.
Ginawa ng pangulo ang direktiba matapos mabigyan si Army Captain Jerome Jacuba ng Complete Disability Discharge (CDD) at inalis umano mula sa militar dahil hindi na umano makapagsilbi matapos tuluyang mabulag sa pakikipagbakbakan.
Sa Facebook post, inihayag ni Jacuba na nagtapos ang kanyang military service noong Nov. 30.
