Nadiskubre ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang isang kargamento s Port of Manila na naglalaman ng ilegal na droga.
Ayon sa BOC, nagsagawa ng examination sa shipment na idineklarang naglalaman ng food items at sa isinagawang inspeksyon, natuklasan ang tinatayang P2.64 billion na halaga ng Methamphetamine Hydrochloride o “shabu”.

Ang kargamento ay galing Pakistan at ipinadala ng kumpanyang Ayan Enterprise/Trading & Logisitics at naka-consigne sa Redshinting Consumer Goods Trading.
Una nang humiling ng alert order ang Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) para sa nasabing shipment matapos makatanggap ng derogatory information mula sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Ayon kay BOC Commissioner Bien Rubio, maituturing itong kauna-unahang major drug haul ngayong taon.
