IPINAG-utos ng korte suprema na ilipat mula sa Davao City Regional Trial Court patungong Quezon City Regional Trial Court ang child abuse at sexual abuse cases ni Kingdom of Jesus Christ Leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Sa statement, sinabi ng Supreme Court na kinatigan ng second division ang kahilingan ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla na ilipat ang venue ng dalawang kaso, alinsunod sa kanyang constitutional power upang maiwasan ang “Miscarriage of Justice.”
Tinukoy ng kataas-taasang hukuman ang compelling reasons upang mabigyang katwiran ang paglilipat ng venue dahil napukaw ng mga kaso ang interest ng publiko bunsod na rin ng pagiging popular at influential religious leader sa Davao ni Pastor Quiboloy.
Idinagdag ng SC na upang maiwasan ang local biases at posibilidad na matakot ang mga witness dahil sa impluwensya ng akusado, marapat lamang na ilipat ang mga kaso sa Quezon City.
