Iloilo City nakapagtala ng unang kaso ng Mpox

INANUNSYO ng Iloilo City Health Office (CHO) na nakapagtala ang lungsod ng unang kaso nito ng monkeypox (Mpox).

Sa press conference na idinaos umaga ng Miyerkules, May 28 sinabi ni CHO Head Dr. Mary Ann Diaz na may naitalang isang Laboratory-Confirmed na kaso ng Mpox at may apat pang Suspected Cases na masusing minomonitor ng Iloilo City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.

Naka-isolate ngayon ang limang indibidwal, binibigyan ng karampatang atensyong medikal at lahat sila ay pawang nasa maayos na kondisyon ayon kay Diaz.

Kabilang sa sintomas ng Mpox ang lagnat, matinding mananakit ng ulo, muscle aches, back pain, panghihina, swollen lymph nodes, at skin rashes.
