NAKATAKDANG palawakin ng Eastern Visayas Medical Center (EVMC), sa Tacloban City, sa Leyte, ang pinakamalaking ospital na pinatatakbo ng gobyerno sa rehiyon, ang bed capacity nito sa 1,500 mula sa limandaan.
Ayon kay Dr. Joseph Michael Jaro, Chief ng EVMC, plano rin nilang itaas sa 1,800 mula sa 1,500 ang bed capacity para ma-accommodate ang mas maraming pasyente.
