BINUHUSAN ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ng 3.15 billion pesos ang social pension para sa mahihirap na senior citizens sa Eastern Visayas Region noong 2024.
Ayon sa DSWD-Eastern Visayas Regional Office, pinakinabangan ito ng mahigit 270,000 na mahihirap na matatanda mula sa anim na lalawigan sa rehiyon.
