Mas pinapaigting pa ng Department of Health (DOH) ang active case finding para mahanap ang mga pasyenteng may sakit na Tuberculosis o TB.

Ito ay para masiguro na nakukumpleto ang kanilang gamutan.

ALSO READ:

Mataas kasi ang treatment success rate (TSR) o ang tsansang gumaling kapag ang gamutan ay maagang nagawa at nakumpleto.

Ayon sa DOH, mahalaga ang taunang pagsusuri na magsisimula sa isang simpleng X-ray.

Ayon sa 2024 World Health Organization (WHO) Global Tuberculosis (TB) Report, ang Pilipinas ay pang-apat sa mga bansang may pinakamaraming kaso ng TB.
