BUMAGSAK ng 57.52% ang krimen sa buong Eastern Visayas, ayon sa Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8), kasunod ng pinaigting na pagpapatupad ng Safer Cities Initiatives (SCI).
Batay sa regional crime monitoring data, lumitaw na patuloy sa pagbaba ang eight focus crimes sa rehiyon sa sunod-sunod na reporting periods.
