COMELEC, hinikayat ang PNP na ipatupad ang warrantless arrest laban sa mga bumibili ng boto

NANAWAGAN ang COMELEC sa PNP na ituloy ang pag-aresto sa mga vote buyers na mahuhuli sa akto kahit walang warrant na inisyu laban sa kanila.

Tiniyak ni COMELEC Chairman George Garcia na po-protektahan nila ang mga pulis na posibleng maharap sa kaso dahil sa pagpapatupad ng warrantless arrest laban sa vote buyers, kasabay ng pagbibigay diin na pinapayagan ito sa ilalim ng batas.

Idinagdag ni Garcia na ang kanilang instruction sa PNP bilang kanilang deputized agent, ay kailangang mapigilan ang pamimili ng boto.
