Nakamit na ng Calbayog City ang estado ng Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS), ayon sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Ang deklarasyon ay ginanap noong September 10, 2024, sa Calbayog Sports Center at dinaluhan ng mga opisyal ng pamahalaan at kinatawan ng iba’t ibang sektor.
Present sa naturang event sina Samar Congressman Stephen James “Jimboy” Tan, Calbayog City Mayor Raymund “Monmon” Uy, Vice Mayor Rex Daguman, mga konsehal ng lungsod, mga punong barangay, at mga pinuno ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan.
Dumalo rin ang mga kinatawan mula sa militar at kapulisan, kasama sina Deputy Brigade Commander ng 803rd Infantry Brigade na si Col. Ericson Rosana, LTC Nasser Arojo, Commanding Officer ng 43rd Infantry Battalion, 8th Infantry Division, at PCOL Antonietto Eric Mendoza, Provincial Director ng Samar Police Provincial Office (SPPO).
Ayon kay LTC Nasser Arojo, ang Calbayog ay ngayon itinuturing na cleared, unaffected, at relatively peaceful, dahil sa kooperasyon ng Calbayog community at ang dedikasyon ng mga sundalo ng 43rd Infantry Division, mga lokal na opisyal, at mga tagapagpatupad ng batas.
