Sa ilalim ng Memorandum Circular ng ahensya, ipatutupad ang 30-minute heat stroke break para matiyak na ligtas ang kanilang mga tauhan sa heat stroke at ba pang sakit na dulot ng matinding init.

Ayon sa kautusan, ang schedule ng 30-minute heat break ay depende sa oras ng shift ng mga field personnel ng MMDA.
At sa mga pagkakataon na ang heat index sa Metro Manila ay aabot sa 40 degrees Celsius o higit pa, magkakaroon ng dagdag na fifteen-minute break.
