INIREKOMENDA ng Quezon City LGU sa Department of Public Works and Highways na alisin na ang itinayong Matalahib Creek Pumping Station sa Barangay Talayan sa District 1 sa lungsod.
Ayon kay Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, base sa pag-aaral ng QC Department of Engineering, ang naturang proyekto ay itinayo sa “Non-Building Area,” na labag sa Water Code at Civil Code kaugnay sa “easement of waterways.”

Dahil sa naturang Pumping Station, nahaharangan ang daloy ng tubig sa Creek mula sa mga barangay papuntang San Juan River.
Sa pakikipagpulong ni Belmonte sa DPWH-NCR kinwestyon ang hindi pakikipag-ugnayan ng kagawaran sa LGU bago isakatuparan ang proyekto na malinaw na paglabag sa Project Coordination Ordinance ng lungsod.
