UMABOT sa 2,938 metric tons ang produksyon ng abaca sa Eastern Visayas noong 2024, na mas mataas ng 24 percent kumpara noong 2023, ayon sa Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority.
Sinabi ni PHILFIDA Eastern Visayas Regional Director Wilardo Sinahon na malaki ang inilago ng output noong nakaraang taon mula sa 2,450 metric tons ng abaca fiber na na-produce noong 2023.
