Ayon kay PRO-8 Director Brig. Gen. Jay Cumigad, layunin ng pag-turnover ng karagdagang communications equipment na palakasin ang pagre-relay ng impormasyon sa lahat ng Police Operating Units sa rehiyon.

Noong Abril ay namahagi rin ang PRO-8 ng kaparehong bilang ng communications equipment sa mga Police Station para tulungan ang mga nagmamando ng Check at Choke Points sa nagdaang Election Period.
