Sa media briefing, tinukoy ni Comelec Chairman George Garcia ang grounds for disqualification, gaya ng deklarasyon ng nuisance candidate, petisyon na nagkakansela sa COC bunsod ng edad at citizenship, at desisyon ng ombudsman na ipatupad ang perpetual disqualification mula sa panunungkulan sa public office.
Una nang inihayag ni Comelec Spokesman John Rex Laudiangco na walang kapangyarihan ang poll body na otomatik na kanselahin ang COC ni Guo, dahil nakadepende sila sa desisyon ng ombudsman.
