NANANATILING pinaka-epektibong public road transport system sa METRO MANILA ang EDSA busway.
Ito ang paglilinaw ng DEPARTMENT of TRANSPORTATION (DOTR) kasunod ng pahayag ng METROPOLITAN MANILA DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (MMDA) na pinag-aaralan nang alisin ang edsa busway dahil ang mga sineserbisyuhan nitong pasahero ay naseserbisyuhan na rin naman ng MRT-3.

Ayon sa statement na inilabas ng DOTR, katunayan noong 2024, mahigit 63 million na commuters ang nakinabang sa episyenteng travel experience sa EDSA busway.
At noong january 2025 umabot sa mahigit 5.5 million na pasahero ang naserbisyuhan ng EDSA busway o may average na 177,000 commuters kada araw.
Sinabi ng DOTR na ang EDSA busway ay maituturing na krusyal na hakbang para makamit ang progressive public transportation system.
