NAGRESULTA sa pagbagal pa ng Inflation Rate sa Negative 0.2 percent noong Hulyo mula sa 0.7 percent noong Hunyo ang pagbagsak ng Food Prices sa Eastern Visayas, na pinakamababa sa nakalipas na halos anim na taon.
Ayon kay Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Eastern Visayas Supervising Statistical Specialist Zonia Salazar, ito ang unang beses simula noong November 2019 na nakapagtala ang rehiyon ng Negative Inflation Rate.
Sinabi ni Salazar na malaking impluwensya sa pagbaba ng Regional Inflation Rate ang 0.9 percent na Annual Price Drop sa Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages mula sa Zero Inflation noong Hunyo.
