DepEd intelligence fund, kinondena ng Gabriela

Mariing kinondena ng partylist solon ang hiling na 150 million pesos ‘Confidential at Intelligence fund ng Department of Education sa taong 2024.

Ayon kay Gabriela Partylist Representative Arlene Brosas, mas higit na dapat unahin ng DepEd  ang paglalaan ng pondo para sa mga kagamitan, learning materials ng mga mag-aaral at benepisyo ng mga guro sa halip na maglaan ng pondo sa mga confidential expenses.

“Confidential funds have no place in the Department of Education. There are still so many funding gaps in DepEd for facilities, equipment, and benefits for its teachers, and the lack of funds is always used as an excuse. We need classrooms, not barracks,” ayon kay Brosas.

Dagdag pa ng mambabatas, maraming mga silid aralan at kagamitan ng mga paaralan ang nasira ng mga nagdaang bagyo.

 “Children will become more patriotic if the government will provide sufficient support for schools and basic social services instead of Confidential and Intelligence Fund which reeks of corruption.”

Muli ang panawagan ng Gabriela na tanggalin ang mga pondong inilalaan sa Confidential and Intelligence Fund sa halip ay ilaan sa basic social services. (Jack Adriano)
