Ayon sa pahayag ng DENR, inatasan ang lahat ng regional offices na tiyaking ang mga landfill sa kani-kanilang nasasakupan ay nakasusunod sa environmental compliance certificates at safety protocols.
Partikular na pinatutukoy ni Lotilla kung mayroong potensyal na hazards ang mga landfill at kung makikitaan ay dapat agad magpatupad ng corrective measures bago pa man mauwi sa trahedya.
