NILAGDAAN na ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang batas kung saan pinapayagan ang pamahalaan na magdeklara ng “State of Imminent Disaster” kahit bago pa man tumama ang isang kalamidad.
Ayon sa Presidential Communications Office (PCO), pinirmahan ng pangulo ang Republic Act No. 12287 o The Declaration of State of Imminent Disaster Act, upang maisagawa ng mas maaga ang paghahanda at Emergency Actions upang maprotektahan ang mga komunidad.
