PINAIGTING ng Department of Health (DOH) ang panawagan na palakasin ang routine immunization efforts sa Eastern Visayas, kung saan 62% lamang ng mga bata ang fully vaccinated laban sa mga vaccine-preventable diseases noong nakaraang taon.
Sinabi ni DOH Eastern Visayas National Immunization Program (NIP) Coordinator Chiradee Claridad, na ang natitirang 38% ng mga bata ay kumakatawan sa lumalagong bilang ng “zero-dose” at under-immunized individuals na patuloy na pinalalampas ang essential health services.
