SISIMULAN ng Leyte Provincial Government ang pagtatayo ng International Seaport sa bayan ng Babatngon, sa Leyte, ngayong taon para palakasin ang Local Economy.
Ayon kay Governor Carlos Jericho Petilla, ang Seaport na tatawaging Leyte Provincial International Port and Leyte Export Processing Complex, ay popondohan sa pamamagitan ng 1.6 billion pesos na Loan mula sa Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).
