Pilipinas at China nagkasundong bawasan ang tensyon sa South China Sea

NAGKASUNDO ang Pilipinas at China na bawasan ang tensyon sa South China Sea, sa pamamagitan ng pagpapabuti sa umiiral na Maritime Communication Mechanism.

Sa Regular Bilateral Consultation Meeting sa Shanghai, nagkaroon ng “frank and productive discussions” sina Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Theresa Lazaro at Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong, para pahupain ang sitwasyon sa South China Sea.

Sa statement, sinabi ng Department of Foreign Affairs, na nagkasundo ang magkabilang panig na kalmadong tugunan ang mga insidente, kung mayroong man, sa pamamagitan ng diplomasya.

Sinang-ayunan din ang Pilipinas at China ang kahalagahan ng patuloy na dayalogo upang mapanatili ang kapayapaan at pagkakaisa sa karagatan.
